Responsibilities
Assess and Control Corporate Risks associated with the Insurability and Bonding of Construction projects, including Market Risk, Liquidity Risk, Pre-qualifications and Due diligence, Insurance Loss Exposure, Rate Modification Control, MWBE diversity and Project Compliance. Manage Worker’s Compensation and third-party Lawsuits. Pre-qualify for NYC, State, and Federal projects. Monitor Experience modification rates. Monitor and budget the impact of changes in Corporate/Labor Laws. Maintain input or data quality of risk management systems. Ensure Financial Liquidity to fund the work in progress. Establish internal control procedures to ensure compliance with Corporate Employment Laws. Develop or implement risk-assessment models or methodologies. Confer with senior management to identify and communicate risks associated with specific business strategies or positions. Utilize knowledge of SAP R/3 specialization in FI/CO, Peachtree, Promation Construction, Crystal Reports, and Starbuilder.
Skills and Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Finance or related quantitative discipline plus two years-experience in the job offered or related position in the Construction field.
The minimum required experience in the job offered or related occupation must include two years of experience assessing and controlling Corporate Risks associated with the Insurability and Bonding of Construction projects, including Market Risk, Liquidity Risk, Pre-qualifications and Due diligence, Insurance Loss Exposure, Rate Modification Control, MWBE diversity and Project Compliance.
